Dr. Van Dewark is passionate about medical aesthetics and medical education. He obtained his MD from the University of Toronto. He also obtained a masters in education from Ontario Tech University.

He is a college registered physician in BC (CPSBC) and a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) in emergency medicine. Dr. Van Dewark is also a member of the Canadian Association of Aesthetic Medicine (CAAM). He actively teaches, and is a published researcher, and medical author in his role as a clinical instructor within the faculty of medicine at the University of British Columbia. He has been recognized nationally by the Royal College of Physicians for his medical education-based research.
